Today has and will continue to be very unproductive I feel. I got about 3 hours sleep and cant control my excitement about Glastonbury (stage times email this morning did not help the situ!) so yeah concentration levels are at an all time low!!
Well summer of fun officially kicked off last month with our trip to Spain. Weather was glorious even though it was forecast to rain all week and we had some hilarious antics of course. First night I landed at our apartment about half ten at night, straight to the pub of course! A place called Davids bar. Honey managed to rinse to fruit machine somehow even though it was all spanish!! So that paid for a couple of pure alcohol cocktails for the both of us and we were well away. We challenged a couple of Mexicans to doubles pool, winners buy the others drinks all night, they thought they were on to a sure win, they thought wrong! We were actually 7 balling them at one point, but unfortunately couldnt hold on to that lead.
On the second day we hit the supermaket, grabbed a pizza for lunch and went back to the apartment to cook it. As soon as we switched the oven on all the electrics went!! We played around with that fuse box thing for a while switching them off and on etc but it didnt come back on, so we went to the pub : - D
We wondered over to a bar on the beach front called Max's that served shot size beers for silly prices! There were a couple of guys sat on the table next to us, around our age (I think the average in our little resort area was about 56!) so Honey piped up "You know anything about elelctricity??" We were hoping they maybe able to help but even though hey both worked for nPower an electricity supplier, neither know how to fix our problem.
We didnt get the electricity fixed but we did make a couple of friends. Sat in Max's with them for the afternoon and then met up with them at a bar called JJ's in the evening. JJ's was an interesting establishment! It actaully turned out to be one of the lads 21st Birthday and they were going out for a meal, which his dad very kindly invited us to!! No oven, free meal, bit of a no brainer!
We were taken to a lovely resturant, with a table right next to the stage with flamingo dancers! Birthday boy had to get up and dance with them hehe! The wine flowed and the food was amamzing, I had sea bass! Nom Nom!
We continued to drink the night away in David's bar, a bit of pool and too much tequilla later we stumbled home, drunk, fed and happy! : - )
And that was only the second night, so much more to write about, jumping in the pool, microwaving my underwear, going to the pub in nothing but a cardi and a towel on my head!!
Annnd I have Ian Brown in Madchesta to report on!
But that it for now.
KC
