Make that 100 sleeps

To say I have been laskluster in blogging would be an understatement.

Glastonbury 2010 was unreal! Blazing sun, great friends, great music, why anyone would not even consider going to Glastonbury is beyond me. There was football and Example, sailors and Rusko, Biffy Clyro secret show, Shangri-la :-0 U2 bassist with Muse, Gorillaz, Florence, the almighty Stevie Wonder and so much more.

And here we are back round to the beginning of the festival season and Glastonbury is just 120 sleeps away. Ticket pay off is tomorrow and I am hoping they announce some good dance acts seen as the main headliners are pretty shit. Beyonce, okay even though I do have a pretty strong hatred for her songs she is a pop legend, but I mean what has she done recently?? Rhianna (who vfestival have) would have been MUCH better. Coldplay - go through phases with them, they can be a bit depressing and again what have the done recently? An U2 - old stuff okay but i think pretty much everyone hates Bono, don't they?
On saying all that the other announces please me very much The Chemical Brothers, Crystal Castles, Elbow, Everything Everything, Friendly Fires, Fleet Foxes, Gruff Rhys, Janelle Monae, Mumford & Sons - Nice!
Fingers crossed for the glorious weather we have last year!

2 more sleeps til Glastonbury!

Today has and will continue to be very unproductive I feel. I got about 3 hours sleep and cant control my excitement about Glastonbury (stage times email this morning did not help the situ!) so yeah concentration levels are at an all time low!!

Well summer of fun officially kicked off last month with our trip to Spain. Weather was glorious even though it was forecast to rain all week and we had some hilarious antics of course. First night I landed at our apartment about half ten at night, straight to the pub of course! A place called Davids bar. Honey managed to rinse to fruit machine somehow even though it was all spanish!! So that paid for a couple of pure alcohol cocktails for the both of us and we were well away. We challenged a couple of Mexicans to doubles pool, winners buy the others drinks all night, they thought they were on to a sure win, they thought wrong! We were actually 7 balling them at one point, but unfortunately couldnt hold on to that lead.

On the second day we hit the supermaket, grabbed a pizza for lunch and went back to the apartment to cook it. As soon as we switched the oven on all the electrics went!! We played around with that fuse box thing for a while switching them off and on etc but it didnt come back on, so we went to the pub : - D
We wondered over to a bar on the beach front called Max's that served shot size beers for silly prices! There were a couple of guys sat on the table next to us, around our age (I think the average in our little resort area was about 56!) so Honey piped up "You know anything about elelctricity??" We were hoping they maybe able to help but even though hey both worked for nPower an electricity supplier, neither know how to fix our problem.

We didnt get the electricity fixed but we did make a couple of friends. Sat in Max's with them for the afternoon and then met up with them at a bar called JJ's in the evening. JJ's was an interesting establishment! It actaully turned out to be one of the lads 21st Birthday and they were going out for a meal, which his dad very kindly invited us to!! No oven, free meal, bit of a no brainer!
We were taken to a lovely resturant, with a table right next to the stage with flamingo dancers! Birthday boy had to get up and dance with them hehe! The wine flowed and the food was amamzing, I had sea bass! Nom Nom!
We continued to drink the night away in David's bar, a bit of pool and too much tequilla later we stumbled home, drunk, fed and happy! : - )

And that was only the second night, so much more to write about, jumping in the pool, microwaving my underwear, going to the pub in nothing but a cardi and a towel on my head!!

Annnd I have Ian Brown in Madchesta to report on!

But that it for now.

oh yeah...how could I forget Ibiza!

Totally forgot to mention we should be gracing the sunny shores of Ibiza for the closing parties this year as well, whoop whoop! I'd actually love to go out there for a bit of Florence and the Machine and Ibiza rocks but it clashes with something else - Global maybe?
Anyways, last time we went, 2004 I think it was, it was pretty hilarious and full of carange! The first night was the most eventful; We got dropped off at the airport at around 10.30pm, flight wasnt until early hours in the morning but I couldnt persuade my dad to drives at that time, so we had to wait around, in the bar, of course. Pleanty of Corona, 2hr flight & coach journey later, we were at Hotel and went straight out and a few hours later It was light. We waiting for our hotal pool to open and...kinda is a bit blurry here. I think it goes along the lines of...we drunk round the pool for the whole day, well I did, Honey managed to sneak in a power nap somewhere, find me in the bar smashed, replace my vodca with water, went to sunset bar, slight over on a rock, ended up in hospital, yes you heard right, ended up in hospital.

I busted my should and had my are in a sling for the rest of the holiday ha ha! Never really found out what happened, had a load of physio and ultra sound on it but it still gives me jip now!!
My god we look so young in this picture!

Hi there!
So I am Casey, just your usual 20 something brit girl, who decided along with my partner in crime Honey, to write a blog about this summers antics. For some reason we crowned this year The Year of the Festival! I think is was after an EPIC time at Global Gathering last year that got us onto this idea and our stories are always classic and so thought it was time to share with the world and here we are. well I am and Honey will be shortly!

So far arranged we have our holiday in Maaarr-bay-ar at the beginning of May. Get our tans and other things sorted for summer of fun. We're off to see Ian Brown, legend, in of course, Manchesta the begining of June, Ascot Races, Glastonbury, Wireless Festival, Lovebox, Global Gathering, V Festival just to name a few, its going to be fucking awesome!

going to unload some photos soon of last year, give you an idea of what to expect :-P

okay think that will do for intro, apologies of grammer and spelling, english was never my strong point at school and Iam too lasy to go back and change it.
